Welcome to Advent House – Jerusalem
Adventist Guest rooms
Jerusalem celebrated its 3000th anniversary in 2000. The city where King David built his capital and where King Solomon built the Temple, is the Holy City for three religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Many thousands of pilgrims visit here each year. This is where God talked to his prophets and where Yeshua died and rose again.
Advent House offers you comfortable accommodation for very competitive prices. Moreover, we are located only five minutes’ walk from both the Old City and downtown Jerusalem.
Advent House is a Christian guesthouse run by Seventh-day Adventists. Tourists from all over the world are welcome at Advent House without any discrimination. Advent House exists to provide a pleasant and peaceful environment for all our guests.
Nine private guest rooms are available, each with its own bathroom. Beds have good quality mattresses in order to assure you a comfortable night’s rest after long days sightseeing. A high level of cleanliness is maintained for all the facilities.
For health and security reasons, smoking and drinking alcoholic drinks inside the building are not permitted. Advent House provides a number of facilities for the convenience of guests: two kitchens, one on each floor, for those who prefer to prepare their own meals, a living-room, and a laundry.
Every Friday evening at sunset there is a service in Hebrew, and on Sabbath mornings our guests have the opportunity to join us in an English-language worship service. Adventists have worked in Israel since 1898. If you would like more information, we would be glad to tell you about our activities in Israel.
Located in the main city center, in the prestigious King David Street area of Jerusalem between Rehavia and Mamilla, Advent House is easily accessible by public transport. From Ben-Gurion Airport, take a “monit sherut” taxi to Jerusalem. Ask the taxi-driver to take you down to number 4 Abraham Lincoln Street near the King David Hotel.
Jerusalem offers a broad system of public buses. Bus lines 18 and 20 to and from the central bus station stop on King David Street, just around the corner from Advent House. There are also several car rental agencies on King David Street.
